Snow Untimely Born
We knew that the cold weather was coming, so we picked our baby eggplant before it arrived. We had been checking them daily, in hopes they would put on some size, our mouths watering in anticipation of one more pan of homegrown ratatouille before the growth season ended.
The snow storm was predicted, but it was still a shock. Here is our October 11th wood pile; it is much more impressive than the January wood pile.
I don't know if they will survive to bloom on or not. I doubt the rose will, but perhaps the mums. Don't they look beautiful under their blanket of snow?
